Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park contains the hallowed ground where two major Civil War battles took place. One of its top features is a seven-mile, self-guided car tour, filled with wayside exhibits; another is the a multi-media program at the park’s visitor center, which provides a basic orientation on the Battle of Chickamauga. The Lookout Mountain Battlefield contains the historic Cravens House, historical tablets, hiking trails and monuments. Divided amongst many areas in the region, the park spreads across various locations in Chattanooga and to the south across the Georgia state line.

Free entry. Point Park: Adults $3; Children 15 and under are free.
